Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born to a music-loving family. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started intensive training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After moving from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is a frequent soloist for private events and parties and performs traditional Latin American Music. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
