Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her performances in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! She was first known for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab, in which she co-starred along with the veteran actor Anil Koopor. Her next appearance on the screen was in Dil along with Aamir. When she was a kid she began studying at a very early age. When she was a teen, she began acting and struggled for years as the majority of her early films failed. She eventually became one of the biggest actresses of Indian films. After her wedding, she took a time off from her acting career prior to returning. Recently, she played a prominent role on the film Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award given to civilians in India was awarded to Dixit. She also has a reputation for her social activism.
